Here's some pages of my first comic book, called "Ananke", written by Michaël Le Galli and his wife Anne-Katell. Our book is going to be published by Editions Delcourt and the release date in France is Wednesday, May 5, 2010.
Hey Thanks guys!!! I appreciate it:) I can't wait until I get a copy too!
Abz - I always start with a simple thumbnail pencil sketch, then I start blocking it in right away in photoshop to get the values and colors right. Then I break down each panel with more detail.
Rawls - I think this will be available through Amazon France but I'll follow up with a post later next month to let everyone know where they can get a copy. I don't know if it will ever get printed in English, I guess it depends on how popular it is, but I never do like the english USA versions because the printing is always crappy and soft bound instead of hard.
Jeez dude your work is incredible. I thought you were painting these in a computer but I see you're using some sort of cel paint. Fantastically animated characters and super strong compositions. I hope you have great success with your publication.
Wow, this is so beautiful. Lovely character, perfectly balanced colours and composition. Very inspiring, thanks for showing this! I cannot wait to see (and have!) the finished result ...
