Awesome work! I was playing through Uncharted the other night and was looking through the concept galleries. I was wondering who created some of the images and it was a coincidence that someone directed me to your site the next day.
"Can you describe your process of creating your images? They have such a wonderful blocky quality while retaining atmosphere.."
I use the lasso tool sometimes when I draw hard surface shapes. So after selecting the lasso tool I hold down the alt button to get straight edges. For the antennas and windows in the background I used the line tool and select fill pixels so its like drawing but with lines. Everything else I use a hard edge brush with 100% opacity and no pen presure. My eraser is also a hard edge brush.
I paint everything in layers and organize them in folders so I can go back and resize them later. I then turn the pen pressure on to paint in my textures and atmosphere but I do it within the shapes that I made by selecting the layer and hiding the selection. The water was done by using a pen pressure brush and I smeared it around with the smudge tool.
What a beautiful piece of art. Have you ever been to Venice? It is my favorite place in the world. Your art work is all very nicely done. Keep up the fantastic work!
I caught your images are like the best shot of a great movie. What computer programs do you use? and what specific program you used for this illustration? thanks
Tus imagenes me atrapan, son como la mejor toma de una excelente pelicula. ¿que programas de computadora usas? y ¿qué programa en especifico utilizaste para esta ilustración? Gracias
