Ciao Erwin, I'm glad you left a comment in my blog so I could discover yours. Fantastic sketches! Really fantastic!
These are beautiful!!! (I'm including your previous post in that statement.) And such a wonderful departure from your other work. Very cool stylization! I see from your web site that they're personal projects...are they from stories? Is there more????Can't wait to see what's next. Oh, and welcome to blogdom!
Thanks guys. I really appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. It makes me want to do better work now.-Nathan....Then I'll just have to get you back on the next sequel. Hahaha...heh.........uh :(-ArreeThanks for the intro post on your blog.-Paul LasaineHi Paul, Thanks for the comment. I've been a huge fan of your work for a long time now and I heard so many great things about you and your teachings through co-workers like Yoriko Ito, Ruben Hickman, and Nathan Fowkes. When I started working on the Madagascar sequel last year it made me start thinking of new ways to stylize my own work. The majority of the paintings I will be putting on this blog will be an exploration of stylization, I hope. So far these images are nothing from actual stories, just quick random ideas but I will revisit some of these concepts later on because they were so much fun to paint.
wow!fun shapes and textures!!how do you do it??
You have a wonderful job here.. I really like the way how you use the colors and the structure of your paintings.. congratulations!!
Sweet Erwin. Keep painting, these are reaaly inspiring!
This is absolutely gorgeous!I'm glad you passed on my blog... I then discovered your work!I'll come back :-)
Thanks Sorrentino! To get my textures I play with the brush controls on photoshop a lot. After selecting my brush I increase the spacing and angle jitter and that's usually good enough.
Really Lovely work! Your color palette and brush work is simply stunning. I really like the previous post too.
Amazing, Erwin. Unique style. You´re like I a kick in the butt to make me improve my work. truly inspirational
